First hunt for the New Year with good mate Doug Cane. Very hot and very dry but a good number of goats about. Doug got his first bow kill on a billy then followed that with a rabbit on Gary's place. I hit and lost one rabbit in the blackberries and Doug lost at least one more which he could not retrieve . I had a shot at a fox but didn't think I hit it until retrieving my broken arrow which showed some evidence of a hit. It was in thick bush and we couldn't find any sign of a blood trail so I put it down to a graze. Despite the heat we had a great weekend and will be doing it all again at the end of March.
