LAST DAY OF COMPETITION FOR 2013

The last day of official competition at Manning District Bowhunters was held on Sunday the 27th October with an ABA round.  Overall it was a good roll up of shooters and the weather was perfect.
Some good scores were shot (modesty forbides me saying what I shot) and  a most enjoyable and relaxing day was had by all.  One group in particular took the relaxing bit a tad too far and I think they may have decided to camp out on the Black range because by the time I left they were still very much unsighted but we are talking about James, Pat and Karl here.  It was good to see Matt back and by the way he shot (762) you would not think the guy has only been to a club shoot twice this year.  And Edna showed her true Scottish ancestory today when she demanded 50 cents from Matt because one his FOB's destroyed one of her fletchings ( and kept her out of the A zone in the process).

Unfortunately Dave Tritton and Mick Rowsell could not compete due to illness which is a pity as it has been my aim all year to beat Mick in an ABA round and on the day I shoot my personal best he is not in the contest.  Will have to wait for next year.  A special mention must go to Doug Cane who every Friday turns up with the biggest damn blower I have ever seen and does the ranges.  Everybody has commented on how good they are looking and so Doug you work is greatly appreciated.
