The Manning District Bowhunters recently
held the 2013 NNSW Branch ABA shot.
On arriving early at the club, Saturday morning you were greeted by many caravan and tents, which translates into a large roll up of archers.
There were shooters from Macleay Valley, Singleton Archery Society, Avon Valley, Hunter Bowman, Tuggerah Lakes, Boolaroo Bowmen, Sapphire City Archers, Hastings Valley, Namoi Valley, Coffs Harbour Archers. Also, a husband and wife came all the way from Victoria just to shoot at our club. It was great to see so many clubs attend the weekend shoot.
Saturday
morning was very wet; bring back archers who looked like drown rats. Saturday afternoon and Sunday, found the sun shining
bright, turning it into a most enjoyable weekend.
Then it was time for the visiting archers to pack up and drive home, waiting for the shoot.
A big thanks to the club members, for attended the working bees and organisers for making it a fantastic shoot.
After the Presentation Sunday afternoon, seen the Manning archers coming away with so many medals.

Congratulations, to the Manning
District Bowhunters archers. As you can see, they should be very proud of their
placing’s.
Archery is a great fun sport with
many friends to be made and lots of adventurer to be had along the way. The
young ones love this sport as, if not more than, the mature age men and Ladies.
Come and see for yourself and give archery a try. The club has archery gear for
you to use. We are on Joe’s Cutting Road, Possum Brush, south of Taree. There
is coaching on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month, from
10am till 12pm.
For further
information please phone Rob on 6552 1635.
